Australian Made is worth the investment. Here's why.
Did you know that Australian trucks can haul more than three times heavier loads than trucks in other parts of the world?
Australia has some of the most demanding road conditions in the world, with many trucks travelling vast distances on corrugated roads, through billowing dust and extreme heat and humidity. To meet these challenges, a truck needs to be reliable and tough enough to stand the test of time, all while providing operators with a safe, comfortable environment to work in.

The decision to buy a new truck is an important one and when you choose to buy a new Kenworth from CMV Truck Centre, your truck will be unique, purposefully designed for its intended task, and manufactured to those exacting specifications with uncompromising quality.
Many of our customers have clocked millions of kilometers on their trucks and counting, with local application engineering at the heart of this longevity. Kenworth trucks work harder for longer, because each truck is purpose built for its intended task.
Our sales consultants work in collaboration with you and Kenworth Australia’s team of highly skilled designers and local application engineers to custom build a vehicle to your exact job requirements at PACCAR's world-class production facility in Bayswater, Victoria.
We start with determining where the truck will operate, how much it’s carrying, the routes it will follow, the road conditions and gradients it will encounter, and the required range between fills. These details shape your truck’s specification, guiding our recommendation of:
- model
- engine
- cooling package
- chassis rail
- transmission
- axles
- suspensions
- fuel tank configuration
- cab layout
- plus thousands of other custom, configurable options
Kenworth trucks are constantly evolving, with many enhancements to the product range a direct result of driver and customer feedback. Sometimes the enhancements are small yet significant, while other times they are giant, market-defining leaps.
"It's great to work with a manufacturer that so openly listens to and accepts our customer feedback," says CMV Truck Centre Sales Manager, Heath Patten.
"Our customers are genuinely directly influencing the design and functionality of the trucks they love to own and drive".
A Kenworth truck is comprised of around 60 percent Australian-owned resources, with a supply chain of over 70 Australian suppliers located across 300 local sites.
