CMV Truck Centre & Truck Parts EP Customer Appreciation Evening
What a fantastic night it was for all at our first Truck Parts EP & CMV Truck Centre Customer Appreciation Evening in Port Lincoln.
It was wonderful to see all our amazing customers come together to celebrate their ongoing loyalty to our business and officially ‘make our mark’ in the region with our new parts location – Truck Parts EP, which was taken over by CMV Truck Centre in early 2024.
Truck Parts EP is the newest addition to the PACCAR Family, designed to further support our customer base on the Eyre Peninsula with all their parts needs. This further expands our current dealership network, which includes CMV Truck Centre in Adelaide, TRP Adelaide in Burton, CMV Riverland Parts in Berri, Barry Maney Group in Mount Gambier, and a further seven locations across Victoria.
In late February, CMV Truck Centre and Truck Parts EP held a Customer Appreciation Evening at Hotel Boston to celebrate our newest location, as well as thanking new and existing customers for their support of this business, and with over 150 people attending – this was more than a successful night!
As guests arrived at Hotel Boston, it would have been hard to miss the display of trucks framing the entry to the beer garden. In a special tribute to valued customer, Brett Harder, Harder Transport’s impressive T900 Legend, paired with an A double tipper combination, and T909 equipped with a Drake low loader, plus a PacLease K200 were definitely conversation starters through the night for guests.
Upon entering the beer garden, guests could hear tunes by local acoustic duo The Bock Shephard as they made their way to the bar to grab a pint. Views of the Bay’s beautiful blue waters set the vibe of the evening, and guests could sit and take it all in whilst enjoying some of the delicious food from Hotel Boston like their ginormous grazing boards and their mouth-watering lamb chops and sliders.
Heath Patten, CMV Truck Centre & Truck Parts EP General Manager, kicked off the formalities of the night by welcoming everyone to the evening and thanked our loyal parts and sales customers for their continued business. He continued by sharing some insights into plans on how we will continue to grow Truck Parts EP to accommodate and provide support to our customers on the Peninsula well into the future.
Heath also took the time to acknowledge Brett Harder, of Harder Transport, who recently passed away after a long battle with cancer. In honour of his life, CMV Truck Centre and Viterra organised to have the grain silos in the Bay lit up in green as the sun went down. It was a wonderful way to remember his contribution to the industry, and the mark he left in the community during his life and after his passing. Once again, our thoughts are with the amazing Harder Transport team and the Harder family.
Paul Crisp, CMV Truck Centre Sales Manager, and Adam McCue, CMV Truck Centre Parts Operations Manager, then gave a brief overview of each department's offerings to guests before encouraging guests to stick around for more food and drinks.
The night was a fantastic opportunity for CMV Truck Centre & Truck Parts EP staff and our customers to get together and either meet for the first time or catch up for a chat over a drink. We are already looking forward to hosting more events like this in Port Lincoln in the future.
Big thank you again to Viterra for closing early for our event and lighting up the silos, to the local council and Chris from M&M Civil for working with us on closing the road and finally a massive thank you to Harder Transport for taking their two epic Kenworth rigs off the road for the night to display at our event.
