THE T610 COMES TO KENWORTH DAF ADELAIDE
Late last year, Kenworth Australia launched its best truck yet, the T610 & T610SAR, which is by far the largest, most functional and most exactingly manufactured cab ever. We are extremely proud to be associated with this outstanding Australian-designed, Australian-made Kenworth.

Here at Kenworth DAF Adelaide, we recently held our own T610 customer launch at the dealership, with more than 200 customers in attendance. Guest speakers from PACCAR detailed the design and innovation that has gone into the development of this truck to make it more intuitive, comfortable, aerodynamic and better looking. This successful evening was followed by an open day for families and interested parties to come and experience the new model. Our staff were kept busy cooking the BBQ and handing out refreshments and balloons.

The T610 is creating enormous excitement and activity and we are looking forward to seeing more and more of them on the roads!

TAKE A PEEK INTO PARTS
Renovations at the front end of our dealership are now complete, making the parts and service area open and accessible to our customers. We removed the dividing wall between the showroom and parts department, which gives both areas a clean, fresh flow-through feel. The parts team has been busy rearranging their shelving to better showcase our large range of products.

Thank you to our customers, suppliers and staff for their patience during the renovations. The end result is well worth the effort as we have improved our customers’ experience across parts, service and sales. Another benefit is that the new layout is more inclusive for staff across our dealership’s various operations.

SERVICE ON TRACK
The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) has authorised qualified staff in our service department to undertake roadworthy inspections, brake roller, shaker plates and pit infrastructure inspections. This is for vehicles over 4.5t GVM, which are older than three years, for change of ownership purposes. We have been extremely successful in completing numerous inspections on a daily basis, including completing 88 inspections in the shortest month of the year! You can find out more about the heavy vehicle inspection here

In January, we welcomed four new apprentices to our dealership; Ethan Mclean, Campbell Byrne, Nicholas Pitts and Ryan Fogarty. Under the direction of Training & Apprenticeship Manager Troy Seyfang these young men will undergo a range of skills-based training and supervision.

We have developed a competency-based training matrix to train our technicians on a broad spectrum of vehicle components. Not only does this provide a variety of work, but it delivers multi-skill sets across the entire service area, to ensure our customers receive a consistent quality of workmanship.  

SARTA AWARDS
The 2017 SARTA 'Great Gatsby' Gala Dinner was recently held with a great night being had by all. We were extremely proud to see the Kym Brennand Memorial Young Achiever of the Year Award go to Josh Beattie and the Jim Crawford Memorial Award for Employee of the Year awarded to duel winners Daniel Mcfee and Malcom McBeath. 

Josh was caught by surprise at the announcement of the award, and Daniel and Malcom (above), both drivers for Gilberts Transport Services made history as the first duel winners, presented by Kenworth DAF Adelaide's General Manager, Jonathan Crawford.
