Our Service Team Put Drivin’ With Dixon to the Test
Recently, the CMV Truck Centre Service team welcomed Charlie Dixon from popular motoring community page Drivin’ With Dixon into our workshop to find out just how handy he is on the tools.
Charlie took on one of our most experienced Diesel Technicians, Abrie, who has been part of the CMV Truck Centre team for more than 20 years. The challenge? A race against the clock to remove a truck wheel by undoing all wheel nuts, before refitting the wheel and correctly fastening everything back into place.

With a crowd of Diesel Technicians watching on, both competitors were feeling the pressure, but the workshop team rallied behind the pair as they tackled the challenge head-on.
In the wheel removal challenge, Charlie put in a strong performance, stopping the clock at a respectable 59 seconds. However, Abrie's years of experience shone through, completing the task in an impressive 48 seconds.
The second challenge saw both competitors refit the wheel. Charlie crossed the line in 2 minutes and 6 seconds, while Abrie once again demonstrated his expertise, finishing in just 1 minute and 9 seconds.
While Abrie took home the bragging rights, Charlie gave it his all and proved he was more than willing to step outside his comfort zone.
